BHF Multi Gab Inc. in partnership with Department of Environment and
Natural Resources (DENR) and Local Government Unit of Mangatarem conducted a tree planting
event held at Daang Kalikasan, Mangatarem, Pangasinan on March 11, 2022.
The Tree Planting Program aims to raise awareness to the society in the importance
of planting and saving trees, express our concern to the environment, and diminish
the unfavorable effects of climate change. It also helps us build a strong relationship
and camaraderie with each other by helping hand in hand in preserving the ecology.
A total of 55 seedlings was successfully planted on the adopted area. Benefits of planting
these seedlings was also discussed and these benefits include:
- Trees clean the air and improve air quality by filtering harmful pollutants from
the air we breathe. - Trees prevent water pollution and absorbs pollutants from the river.
- Trees save water and helps the surface water to sip through the underground
and replenish the aquifer.
BHF Multi Gab Inc. team along with other 10 representatives from DENR and LGU
Mangatarem took part in planting trees during the event.
